Kristen is an illustrator and mural artist based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For more than a decade, Kristen has been helping brands and communities tell meaningful stories through expressive lettering and illustration. Kristen creates artwork that celebrates storytelling and history, drawing inspiration from vintage ephemera, botanical symbolism and the charm of hand-crafted design.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Kristen spent over 15 years as a professional marketer. That experience now informs her creative process, allowing her to align her artwork with her clients’ strategic goals and brand values - maximizing both meaning and impact.

You can find dozens of murals Kristen has hand-painted throughout Nova Scotia and beyond. She’s collaborated with brands including adidas, Pepsi, Trader Joe’s and Jägermeister, published two lettering classes on Skillshare, and is the founder of To & From Gift Co., where her award-winning floriography seed packet collection is stocked by retailers across North America.

When she's not practicing bad posture while drawing on the couch with her iPad, Kristen can usually be found singing made-up songs to her dogs about how they are perfect angels, collecting vintage ephemera, or watching Dateline. She lives in Halifax with her husband Justin and their extremely perfect angel rescue dogs, Yams and Louis.
