I started hand lettering just a few years ago in the summer of 2015, and it’s become a passion that I now practice daily. I have a background rooted in graphic design and marketing, and have spent the past 10 years as a freelance designer for various clients in addition to my current day job as a Marketing Manager.
I spend most of my time watching true crime shows or treasure-hunting in antique shops, and waiting to hear or dream up the next quote that inspires me to open my sketchbook. You can find some of my work at Inkwell Boutique (including my Ignition Apron) and around Halifax inside The Canteen, Vandal Doughnuts, Patch Halifax, Kept, Heirloom Tattoo and Café Taiyaki. I’ve also done some lettering work for The Coast Halifax, Chatelaine Magazine and Today’s Parent.
Outside of day-dreaming about letters, I: am basically obsessed with dogs, listen to too many podcasts, love snacks, and live in Halifax with my lovely husband Justin, 2 dogs (Hercules & Finnegan) and 2 cats (Falkor & Marv).
I use my skills for things like:
Custom hand lettered designs – print or digital
Teaching lettering workshops
If you’ve got a project in mind that requires some creativity and custom lettering, reach out (I’ll be there).
